My little TWIN

Kathy was honored this past Wednesday along with 32 other local women at the TWIN Awards Dinner (Tribute to Women and Industry) in downtown Annapolis. She was nominated by the people she works with for all her hard work, including her part in securing a 20 million dollar Department of Labor grant she helped write for the college last year.

The MC for the awards is a local DJ at WRNR (which is a very good local radio station as far as radio goes).  You may be able to hear in the video the shout outs for our dogs Willow and Zappa as well as the mud oven. We had to take off right after Kathy's award because she had to go to the opening of the new casino, Maryland LIVE, to pick up a check for the college.  The scene was a madhouse and the traffic snarl we were caught up in was not pretty.  I dropped off Kathy at the adjoining mall and parked at a nearby Wendy's.  I didn't have to wait long before she came and found me, hauling the over-sized check for  $40,000.

The evening was eventful and I must say I'm very proud of my little TWIN.  I got to meet a lot of her co-workers whom I've heard lots about, and I was able to be on my best behavior for a whole evening. Maybe I should get an award for that.

  1. Congrats to Kathy!! She is one smart chick. Maybe that is why she rolls her eyes when you and I get together and get into our "deep" conversations.
